Mitch has extensive experience consulting for financial institutions with a specialty in capital markets. A major portion of his time is focused on the Japan markets where he spent many years.
As a Partner with Arthur Andersen in Chicago, he established Andersen's futures and derivatives practice in the US, while working closely with the Exchanges and corporate users of the markets. He moved to Tokyo in the late 1980's to set up Andersen's Capital Market Practice. Later he was the Director of Andersen's financial markets practice in California until he again returned to Tokyo as Senior Partner in 1997.
Mitch is one of the founders and was the head of the Futures Industry Association of Japan for many years, and he now serves as Chairman Emeritus and Advisor to the Executive Committee. As a Consultant, he provided services to derivatives Exchanges and to trading firms accessing the Japan derivatives markets. Mitch was also elected as an independent Director of Aozora Bank in Tokyo where he served for 11 years, and he taught classes on Corporate Governance at Hitotsubashi University Graduate School.
